Background:

Osteomas are benign bone tumors with characteristic locations.
Their occurrence in paranasal sinuses is well-documented.
Understanding osteoma development and spread is crucial for diagnosis.

Observation:

This review details the typical sequence of osteoma occurrence within paranasal sinuses.
It highlights the rarity of osteomas developing outside the paranasal sinuses.
Three unique cases of osteomas with atypical size and location are presented.

Findings:

The study suggests a hypothesis of osteoma development within sinuses followed by migration.
Two presented cases show osteomas originating outside the paranasal sinuses.
One case involved an osteoma in both frontal sinuses and the ethmoid labyrinth.

Implications:

Findings challenge the traditional view of osteoma origins.
