Abstract:
Gastric bypass distal or extended Roux-en-Y has been our preferred primary procedure since April 1985. The common channel of the Roux-en-Y is shortened to 5-7 ft of ileum. This procedure has been used not only on our new patients, but on patients regaining weight or with incomplete weight loss after other bariatric operations.
