Abstract:
The aim of this paper was searching for correlates of cortical atrophy in schizophrenia. Schizophrenic patients with cortical prefrontal atrophy had more negative symptoms than patients with generalized cortical atrophy and patients without cortical atrophy (the difference was not statistically significant). They also had less positive symptoms than patients without atrophy (the difference was statistically significant) and patients with generalized cortical atrophy.
