Abstract:
PTMR is a new and exciting alternative treatment for patients with class III or IV angina who have been treated unsuccessfully with conventional medical treatments and who have no other treatment options available. It is hoped that PTMR can decrease or completely relieve these patients' symptoms and improve their quality of life. Early results with PTMR appear promising, but further investigation and long-term assessment of patients who have been participants in PTMR studies need to be undertaken.
