Giant pelvic retroperitoneal liposarcoma.

Summary

Background:

Pelvic retroperitoneal liposarcomas are uncommon, particularly in women under 30.
This report details a rare instance of a large, well-differentiated liposarcoma in a young female patient.

Observation:

A 27-year-old nulligravida presented with significant abdominal distension.
A large retroperitoneal mass was identified, displacing pelvic organs and minimally involving the left fallopian tube.

Findings:

Surgical resection of the giant well-differentiated liposarcoma was performed.
The patient experienced a favorable outcome, remaining disease-free and achieving pregnancy two years post-operation.
