Summary

Combination chemotherapy improves survival for small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) and shows benefits in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Combining chemotherapy with thoracic irradiation is superior for limited-stage SCLC and locally advanced NSCLC.
