    Summary

    Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia, a skin lesion, can also occur in the mouth. This intraoral case showed typical features plus unusual smooth muscle growth.

    Background:

    • Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (AH E) is a recognized skin lesion.
    • It is characterized by atypical vascular proliferation and inflammatory infiltration.

    Observation:

    • A rare intraoral swelling presented with features similar to AH E.
    • Histological examination revealed typical vascular and inflammatory components.

    Findings:

    • The intraoral lesion exhibited striking smooth muscle proliferation, a feature not commonly associated with AH E.
    • This suggests a potential variant or related condition.

    Implications:

    • The findings expand the known clinical and histological spectrum of angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia.
    • Further research is needed to understand the smooth muscle component in intraoral vascular lesions.
