Vascular structure of arteriovenous malformations

Summary
Plexiform cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are fundamentally a collection of arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs). This study suggests their vascular structure is similar to the AVF type, clarifying AVM classification.

- Revisiting the clinical significance of AVM classification based on vascular structure may be warranted.
