Preliminary studies on blastic transformation of peripheral blood lymphocytes in bursectomized chicks

Abstract:

Lymphocytes from six-week-old chicks which had been bursectomized when three days old showed greater tendency to blastic transformation stimulated by phytohemagglutinin (PHA) than those from control chicks. The observations suggest the possibility of B lymphocytes influencing immunological reactivity of T lymphocytes.
