Identifying key risk factors for hemorrhagic stroke is crucial for prevention. This study found hypertension, high cholesterol, anticoagulant use, prior transient ischemic attack, and alcohol intake significantly increase hemorrhagic stroke risk.

Purpose of the Study:

  • 166 confirmed hemorrhagic stroke cases were compared with age- and sex-matched controls.
  • Multivariate conditional logistic regression analysis was employed to determine significant risk factors.
