Summary

A new bladder permeability test accurately identifies increased bladder permeability in interstitial cystitis patients. This safe and painless test uses sugar absorption to distinguish between healthy and compromised bladders.

Background:

  • Increased bladder permeability is a proposed cause of interstitial cystitis (IC).
