Behavioral activation induced by D(2)-like receptor stimulation during opiate withdrawal

Opiate withdrawal surprisingly increases locomotion when D(2)-like receptors are stimulated. This finding suggests a mechanism for how withdrawal may drive drug-seeking behavior during detoxification.
