[Suicidal behavior in adolescents. What questions for the professional?]

Suicidal behaviors are a major public health concern, particularly among adolescents. Yet health care providers are often ill-prepared in dealing with at-risk adolescents, and particularly uncomfortable with the issue of suicide. By means of ten simple questions, the author tries to address some of the common queries of primary health care providers, hoping to increase their understanding of the phenomenon and their skills in detection, guidance and prevention.
