Early discharge and postnatal depression: a prospective cohort study

Summary

Women discharged early after childbirth (<= 72 hours) do not face a higher risk of postnatal depression symptoms. This study found similar rates of postpartum depression in early and late discharge groups, indicating safety for early discharge with adequate support.
