Observation:

  • A case of adenosarcoma arising within hepatic endometriosis was identified.
  • Imaging studies (CT and MR) revealed a large, heterogeneous liver mass with cystic components.

Findings:

  • The patient underwent an enlarged right hepatectomy for the liver mass.
  • Post-operative follow-up showed the patient was asymptomatic with no recurrence at two years.

Implications:

  • This case highlights the importance of considering adenosarcoma in hepatic endometriosis.
  • Surgical resection is an effective treatment for this rare condition.
  • Further research into the pathogenesis and management of hepatic adenosarcoma is warranted.
