Data protection--an eternal question

Abstract:
The always pertinent question of data protection in healthcare was studied through comparison of three surveys. The results from the surveys made 1993, 1995, and in spring 1998 shows that a deeper understanding of data protection is slowly penetrating the nursing profession. When the new national data law, in accordance with EC-directives, will be applied from the autumn 1998, the question of data protection will be brought up again.
