    Background:

    • Enterogastric reflux (EGR) is a condition where bile and duodenal contents flow back into the stomach.
    • Accurate detection and quantification of EGR are crucial for diagnosing and managing various gastrointestinal disorders.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the clinical validity of a modified nuclear medicine scintigraphy method for detecting and quantifying enterogastric reflux (EGR).

    • A total of 172 patients with various gastrointestinal conditions underwent scintigraphy.
    • 99m-Tc-Dietil IDA was administered intravenously, followed by a test meal.
    • Radioactivity changes in the stomach and hepatobiliary system were analyzed over 90 minutes to determine EGR presence and index.
