Summary

A simple mouthwash DNA collection method accurately detects cytokine gene polymorphisms, including interleukin-1beta (IL-1B) and IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RN). This non-invasive technique provides reliable results even after 7-day storage, offering a convenient alternative to blood sampling.
