Background:

Observation:

  • Two children presented with symptoms and radiological findings similar to acute infectious epiglottitis.
  • One child ingested a corrosive agent, and the other swallowed hot water, causing thermal injury.
  • Clinical presentation included significant swelling of the epiglottis.

Findings:

  • Both cases demonstrated clinical and radiological signs mimicking infectious epiglottitis.
  • Rapid recovery was observed with conservative management, including close monitoring and parenteral antibiotics.
