Elevated insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) and IGF-binding protein 2 (IGFBP-2) serum levels are associated with colorectal adenomas. Removal of these adenomas significantly reduces IGF-II and IGFBP-2 levels, suggesting their potential as tumor markers.
