Russell C. Coile, Jr., is a nationally recognized futurist and speaker specializing in healthcare business strategy and market forecasting, and vice president and national strategy consultant for Southfield, Michigan-based Superior Consultant Company, Inc. Coile also has written seven books dealing with the future of health care, including New Century Healthcare: Strategies for Providers, Purchasers, and Plans, which was published this year. Coile spoke with HFM to share his views regarding the future of IDSs and how these organizations may need to modify their strategies to ensure their long-term financial success.
