[Disturbance in the equilibrium between DNA and protein synthesis rates in bacteria and their viability]

The effect of the disturbed correlation between the rates of synthesis of DNA and protein on the viability of bacterial cells was studied with different strain of E. coli K-12. The viability of the cells is determined by their resistance to sharp changes in the rates of synthesis of DNA and protein.
