Abstract:
Total gastrectomy forms an essential part of surgical management of gastric carcinoma. The various operations proposed for reconstruction of the alimentary tract are reviewed, reflux oesophagitis, dehiscence of suture. Lastly, the advantages offered by oesophago-jejuno-duodenostomy are illustrated.
