Preparation of human lung biopsy specimens by perfusion-fixation
The American Review of Respiratory Disease
|November 1, 1975
Abstract:
A technique for perfusion-fixation of human lung biopsy specimens is described. The tissue is fixed in an expanded state by perfusing glutaraldehyde into cannulated blood vessels or bronchioles on the excisional surfaces. These specimens are ideally suited for histologic study and for both transmission and scanning electron microscopy.
