Abstract:
Within the scope of a practicability study, all the in-patients undergoing psychotherapy treatment at the University Clinic for Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics in Halie in the year 1996 were examined with a method inventory for standard use taking four controls points in order to record the quality of the processes and results of the in-patient psychotherapy treatment. The time-saving inventory cross-links a global evaluation of the success of therapy from the perspective of both the patient and the therapist. It consists of psychodiagnostic pre-post examinations, as well as the parallel, process-oriented evaluation, from the patients' and the therapists' perspective, of the therapeutic relationship and the effect of individual forms of therapy during inpatient psychotherapy. The use of a global parallel evaluation form (GEF) showed a high degree of agreement between patients' and therapists' judgements of how successful the treatment was. In the pre-post comparison of the usual psychodiagnostic procedures (SCL-90, the Giessen test, impairment severity score), the patient groups from on the basis of the varying success of therapy demonstrated numerous significant differences, which the global evaluations go on to differentiate. In examining the course of the relationship in individual treatment, a differentiation relevant to the forecasting was ascertained with the patients after six weeks concerning the success of the therapy. In contrast, significant differences were not reflected on the part of the therapists until the end of the in-patient therapy.

Guidelines for Writing Outcome
Patient outcomes reflect the patient's response to the goal rather than what the nurse aims to achieve. Terminology should be observable and measurable to avoid the reader's interpretation.
