Metastatic cardiac liposarcoma is exceptionally rare. This case highlights the need for long-term cardiac monitoring after primary liposarcoma resection due to potential heart metastasis.

Background:

Metastatic cardiac liposarcoma is an extremely rare condition.
Surgical resection of right ventricular liposarcoma is seldom reported.

Observation:

A 61-year-old Japanese woman presented with metastatic liposarcoma of the right ventricle.
Her history included prior surgery for liposarcoma in the right knee 11 years earlier.

Findings:

Despite emergency resection, the patient succumbed to severe congestive heart failure six days post-operation.
This case represents the first reported instance in Japan of metastatic liposarcoma involving the right ventricle.

Implications:

This rare case underscores the importance of vigilant, long-term follow-up for patients with liposarcoma.
