  • Quantum Mechanics
  • Statistical Mechanics

Background:

  • The quantum transverse Ising model is a fundamental model in condensed matter physics.
  • Understanding critical phenomena and dynamics is crucial for characterizing quantum phase transitions.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the short-time critical behavior of the one-dimensional quantum transverse Ising model.
  • To determine the static critical exponents (beta, nu) and the dynamical critical exponent (z).

Main Methods:

  • Monte Carlo simulations were employed at zero temperature.
  • Scaling relations for early-time dynamics were utilized to extract critical exponents.

Main Results:

  • Static critical exponents (beta, nu) were found to be in agreement with exact solutions.
