Summary
Fish oil supplementation did not alter the acute-phase response to strenuous exercise in male runners. Despite changes in blood cell fatty acids, key inflammatory markers and exercise-induced responses remained unaffected by n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA).
