Summary

Twice-daily Neutral Protamine Hagedorn (NPH) insulin therapy resulted in better glucose control and fewer hypoglycemic episodes compared to once-daily ultralente insulin in type 2 diabetes patients. Patients also reported higher treatment satisfaction with NPH insulin.
