Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To retrospectively analyze and compare the midterm outcomes of valve-preserving versus standard surgical approaches for AADA.
  • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of different valve-preserving strategies in AADA patients.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of 52 AADA patients (October 1995 - December 1999) undergoing various aortic repair techniques.
  • Surgical groups included composite replacement (Group A), supracommissural replacement (Group B), aortic root remodeling (Group C), and valve reimplantation (Group D).
