Summary

Certain HIV-1 resistant women exhibit specific T-cell responses, including T-helper and cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) activity. These findings suggest that cellular immunity plays a role in protecting against Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1 infection.
