Observation:
- Three patients with Behçet's disease and panuveitis presented with macular ischemia.
- Fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) revealed macular ischemia and peripheral retinal vasculitis.
- Treatment included topical/oral steroids, cyclosporine, and azathioprine.
Findings:
- Inflammation was controlled in all cases.
- Two out of three eyes showed improvement in visual acuity and macular ischemia after 2 years.
- One eye did not show recovery.
Implications:
- Macular ischemia in Behçet's disease predicts poor visual outcomes.
- Early detection and treatment of macular ischemia may lead to partial visual recovery.
- FFA is crucial for diagnosing macular ischemia in Behçet's disease.
