Summary

Alpha-1-antitrypsin (A1AT) shows high sensitivity and specificity for detecting early postoperative infections after hip replacement surgery. This marker is more effective than erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP) for identifying complications.
