    Summary

    Mast cells, involved in inflammation, may cause myelofibrosis, a bone marrow disorder. Autopsy findings link mast cell proliferation to fibrosis in bone marrow and spleen.

    Background:

    • Myelofibrosis is a bone marrow disorder characterized by fibrosis.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the potential role of mast cells in the pathogenesis of myelofibrosis.
