[Fibrinolysis with rTPA in acute retinal arterial occlusion]

Purpose/Method:
We present two different cases of occlusion of the central artery of the retina, that were treated through a systemic fibrinolysis with the tissue activator of the Plasminogen. The evolution in both cases was very different.
Results/Conclusions:
In the first case, the patient recovered VA from no perception of light to 5/10, being stable at this moment. In the second case, the patient did not recover the vision although the anatomical improvement of the circulation of the fundus was evident. We think that the different evolution in both cases was due to the time of evolution between the obstructive episode and the Fibrinolysis.
