Natural history of brainstem cavernous malformations

Brainstem cavernous malformations (cavernomas) have a 2.46% annual bleeding rate, with rebleeding occurring at 5.1%/yr. Older patients and smaller lesions indicate a lower risk of bleeding episodes.
