Prevention of uremic bone disease using calcimimetic compounds

Calcimimetics, drugs that activate the calcium-sensing receptor (CaR), effectively suppress parathyroid hormone (PTH) secretion. These compounds show promise in preventing renal osteodystrophy in chronic kidney disease patients.
