Summary

Two patients with partial segmental priapism experienced pain and a perineal mass due to corporal thrombosis. A proximal corpus cavernosum-spongiosum shunt effectively treated these priapism cases.

  • Successful treatment was achieved using a proximal corpus cavernosum-spongiosum shunt, restoring blood flow and alleviating pain.

Implications:

  • This case series highlights the efficacy of the corpus cavernosum-spongiosum shunt in managing partial segmental priapism with corporal thrombosis.
  • Early surgical intervention with shunting may be a viable option for preserving penile function in these rare priapism presentations.
