    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate if increased caloric intake, independent of significant weight gain, causes metabolic abnormalities.
    • To assess the metabolic consequences of hypercaloric diets in normal subjects.

    • Eight normal subjects were fed hypercaloric diets for 3 weeks.
