  • Sociology

Background:

  • Understanding factors influencing abortion attitudes is crucial in social and psychological research.
  • Previous research has explored various demographic and psychological correlates of abortion beliefs.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To examine the association between masculinity scores and abortion attitudes among female undergraduates.

Main Methods:

  • A study was conducted with 71 undergraduate participants.
  • Abortion attitudes were assessed using [specific survey instrument - not provided in abstract].
  • Masculinity scores were measured in female participants using [specific scale - not provided in abstract].

Main Results:

  • No statistically significant association was found between participants' sex and their abortion attitudes.
  • A weak, non-significant association was observed between masculinity scores and abortion attitudes in female students.

Conclusions:

  • Sex is not a significant predictor of abortion attitudes in this undergraduate sample.
  • Masculinity, as measured, does not strongly correlate with abortion attitudes among female undergraduates, suggesting other factors may be more influential.
