Summary

Determining the correct intravenous valproate loading dose for neonates is crucial. This study suggests using approximate increases of 4 mcg/mL and 3 mcg/mL in serum concentrations per 1 mg/kg of valproate at 45 minutes and 3 hours, respectively.
