Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the effectiveness of inhaled beclomethasone in reducing wheezing incidence and severity post-mild bronchiolitis.
  • To assess the long-term impact of a 3-month inhaled corticosteroid course on infant wheezing.

Main Methods:

  • A multicenter, randomized, single-blind, controlled intervention study.
  • 94 infants under 12 months with mild bronchiolitis were enrolled.
  • One group received 3 months of inhaled beclomethasone; the control group received no treatment.
