Summary

Psychoanalytic perspectives offer new insights into Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), suggesting ego functioning disturbances underlie its symptoms. Psychoanalytic treatment, often combined with medication, can address core integration issues in ADHD.
