Quantitation of defecation function using radionuclide artificial stool in children with chronic constipation

Scintigraphic evacuation fraction (EVF) is low in children with chronic constipation but improves with laxative treatment. Radionuclide EVF determination offers an objective method for monitoring treatment effectiveness in pediatric constipation.
