Background:

Focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) is a rare, benign liver tumor.
Accurate diagnosis of FNH can be challenging due to overlapping imaging features with other hepatic lesions.

Purpose of the Study:

To review the imaging findings of focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH).
To highlight the diagnostic utility of various imaging modalities in characterizing FNH.

Main Methods:

Review of imaging findings from Ultrasound (US), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging, scintigraphy, and angiography.
Correlation of imaging features with histopathologic findings in atypical cases.

Main Results:

The presence of a central vascular scar is a key imaging feature of FNH.
