Cyclopenta-polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (cyclopenta-PAHs) are environmental pollutants. Their epoxide metabolites may pose a greater biological hazard than classic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), according to molecular orbital calculations.
