Key peptide processing enzymes are expressed by breast cancer cells

Breast cancer cells (MCF-7 and ZR-75-1) possess key enzymes (CPE, PAM, PC1/3, PC2) necessary for processing vasopressin and neuropeptide growth factors. Despite expressing the vasopressin gene, protein processing appears limited in these cell lines.
