Abstract:
The National Forum for Health Care Quality Measurement and Reporting was created to develop and implement a national strategy for measuring and reporting health care quality. It grew from a report issued in 1998 by the President's Advisory Commission on Consumer Protection and Quality in the Health Care Industry, which proposed the creation of the Quality Forum as part of an integrated national quality improvement agenda.
