[Determination of dioxane in alkyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether]

In this paper, dioxane in alkyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether has been determined by headspace gas chromatography. The standard curve and headspace detection conditions are given. Correlation coefficient is 0.9989. The recoveries of dioxane ranged from 91.6% to 97.6%. The relative standard deviations were less than 2.5%. The limit of determination was 20 micrograms/L. The method is simple, fast and accurate with higher sensitivity, less interference and better reproducibility.
