This case report details a rare multicentric telangiectatic osteosarcoma in a young woman. Imaging revealed extensive osteolytic lesions, confirmed histologically as telangiectatic osteosarcoma.

Area of Science:

  • Orthopedic Oncology
  • Radiology
  • Pathology

Background:

  • Telangiectatic osteosarcoma is a rare, aggressive bone malignancy.
  • Multicentric presentation is exceptionally uncommon.

Observation:

  • A 29-year-old woman presented with a rare multicentric telangiectatic osteosarcoma.
  • Plain X-ray demonstrated pure osteolytic lesions in multiple tarsal bones (navicular, cuboid, cuneiforms).
  • MRI revealed characteristic heterogeneous signal intensities with cystic foci and fluid-fluid levels.

Findings:

  • Histopathological examination confirmed telangiectatic osteosarcoma.
  • The lesion was characterized by numerous atypical giant cells.

Implications:

Related Experiment Videos
